Sean Hind

Zimbabwean Safari Guide

Sean Hind grew up in Harare and his passion for the African bush started at a very young age whilst exploring some of Zimbabwe’s prime safari areas with his family on camping trips to the Matusadona National Park – Lake Kariba, as well as spending time in Nyanga in the Eastern part of Zimbabwe. It was from his young explorations of these areas that his interest in nature and the way it worked was sparked.

After his schooling, Sean started his career working in various lodges in Victoria Falls as a Host and Assistant Manager. During his free time Sean studied towards his Learner Guides Licence which he obtained in 2000 whilst working in Lake Kariba. Having spent 9 years working in the Matusadona National Park, Sean developed a passion for conducting walking safaris and had the opportunity to track Black rhino on a regular basis.

Sean qualified as Professional Guide in 2007 and he decided to leave the Matusadona at the end of 2009 to guide in Mana Pools National Park. Sean has been guiding and managing camps in Mana Pools ever since.

Sean is a very keen and avid photograph with a particular passion for wildlife photography. In addition, he has an interest in ornithology. Sean’s particular focus and enjoyment in his guiding, is walking with clients and sharing his knowledge and love of the african bush with guests from all walks of life.
