Usually re-knowned for being a less likely time of year to experience wildlife up close and personal, the magic about Africa is that not everything is as it seems, and the last three months at Somalisa are testimony that the Green season can be just as good for wildlife.
African Bush Camps is proud to work in collaboration with Alliance Francaise and The Performing Arts of Bulawayo to present to the public a series of lectures dispelling the myths about the Large Carnivores of Zimbabwe and encouraging the public to take action to save them.
The Green Season brings an increased amount of plains game and predators at Somalisa Camp in Hwange National Park, including a pride of 22 lions. The dominant lion Jericho is the sole surviving son of 'Mpofu', that had dominated the entire area for more than 10 years.
