• Location: Mobile tented luxury safari’s and camping are a specialty in Botswana, and we will tailoremake a safari to suite your wildest dreams. Let us suggest exclusive destinations like Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta and Khwai area, Chobe National Park and the Linyanti Marsh, the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Makgadikgadi & Nxai Pan. We may also include other destinations on request, be it in Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Tanzania or another location in Africa.
• How to get there ? Most safaris start or end in either Maun or Kasane. Road transfers can be arranged, but for the best safari experience we recommend the use of charter flights from your international airport of arrival (Johannesburg, Harare, Bulawayo, Victoria Falls or Gaborone) and from one safari location to another. African Bush Camps will make the necessary arrangements with third operators to ensure all your transfers. Please check out our safari maps or contact us for more information.
• Mobile camp operates: all year round. Please check our information on best safari seasons and Botswana.
• Group sizes: All Mobile Tented Safaris rates are based on a minimum of 4 people to guarantee a departure. Maximum number of guests is 8, can do bigger groups on request.
• Children: are accepted from the age of 7.
• Ideal length of stay: Anywhere between 10 days and 4 weeks – from our experience spending three nights in each area gives you the opportunity for quality game viewing.
• Safari itineraries: we will build for you the most suitable itinerary, depending on the area you wish to visit, the length of your trip and the season you choose. You may also combine a mobile tented safari with a stay at another one of our camps or a visit to Victoria Falls. Contact us!

• Makgadikgadi & Nxai Pan National Parks: The largest salt pans in the world offer amazing scenes and unique safari experiences, with great game viewing and amazing bird watching challenged by spectacular scenic views and natural isolation. • Seasons: most of these areas are open all year-round, but the central Kalahari Game Reserve should be considered during the green season only (1st November to 3Oth April).
• Safari Activities : Activities consist in open-air vehicle game drives and, when possible, night drives with spot lights, walking safaris, and game viewing from hides.
• Game drives: Game drives are conducted in reliable open four-wheel drive Land Cruisers. For your safety and comfort, these have been custom-built by specialists in safari vehicle modifications. Each vehicle is canopied, seats seven passengers and is fitted with padded individual bucket seats. Snacks and ice cold drinks are available on all drives.

The Mobile Tented Camp

• Camp situation : The camp is set up by our staff prior to your arrival at each camping location.
• Capacity : 8 beds per mobile, but can do bigger groups on request.
• Accomodation: Luxury tented camp
  Our luxury tented camps offer twin-bedded luxury accommodation in spacious, insect proof Meru style tents, with bush-bucket shower/toilet en-suite. Your tent measures approximately 12ft x 16 ft (3m x 4m). Bathrooms are permanently attached to the tents, with flushing toilet  and bucket shower which is roofed and also insect proof. Wash basins are placed outside your tent and filled with hot water by our staff.
• Facilities: A separate tent is set up for breakfast, brunch and dining. Our experienced camp staff is available all day to see to your every need and ensure your comfort at all times. Guests are not expected to participate in any camp duties, allowing for complete relaxation.
• Cuisine : We pride ourselves in offering delicious cuisine prepared in traditional style. After a light breakfast you begin a day of adventure. On your return to the camp after a morning activity you will have an excellent brunch when you then may relax. Afternoon tea and a further activity are followed by cold drinks and snacks by the campfire, and then a delicious dinner.
• Communications: The camp can communicate by satellite phone in case of emergency.

• 458 US$ from November to May included(low season and part of medium season)
• 692 US$ from June to October included (high season and part of medium season)
  150 US$ single supplement (June to October only)

Children under 16 years benefit a 50% discount when sharing with one or two full paying adults in a twin or triple during Family Months (January, March to June, November to December included). Out of Family Months , they pay full adult rate. For younger children please enquire directly. See our child policy or contact us.

All-inclusive policy: Our rates are per guest per night and include: accommodation based on 2 persons sharing, all meals, all beverages except premium imported spirits and champagne, two game viewing activities per day, laundry, transfer from nearest airstrip and internal transfers if needed. Private safaris: guests must pay for 6 people to guarantee a private trip.

Areas: Central Kalahari Game Reserve safaris are run on special request only with an additional supplement charged.
