Saile Tented Camp

Access

• Location: The camp is located in a remote private concession, in the legendary Linyanti area within Chobe Enclave .
  Coordinates: 18°14’47.11″S 23°57’34.47″E
• How to get there ?
  - by charter flight to Saile airstrip from another camp or a regional location – the most usual beeing Maun (1h) or Kasane (35mn) – and then be transferred by 4WD (about 1h drive) into camp.
  - by road transfer: from Kasane (4h), Khwai (5h) or Maun (8h)
  - Self drive is possible but recommended only for experienced 4×4 drivers.

• Camp opens: from the 1^st of April to the 31^st October (shoulder and dry seasons), unless specially requested for a specific date in green season.
• Children: are accepted from the age of 7.
• Ideal length of stay: 3 nights

The Camp

The remoteness of the camp, coupled with its intimate size, make it a perfect setting for a personalized safari experience for small groups or private families. The Meru-style tents provide a luxurious yet authentic camping experience.

• Camp situation : Saile Tented Camp sit within the Linyanti Concession above the ancient river bed of the Linyanti Marsh.
• Capacity : 6 tents with a total of 12 beds.
  Saile Tented Camp is fit for private and personal safari experiences, and it can be booked for a minimum of 2 people travelling.
• Accomodation: Luxury tented camp
  The tents are walk-in Meru-style tents, that are spacious in the interior (6x4m); and are furnished with comfortable twin beds and bedside tables, a hanging canvas wardrobe, luggage bench and sisal matting. En-suite bathroom facilities are fitted with a flush toilet and a zip-up door leading through to an open-air bucket shower, that offers excellent views of the stars at night.
• Facilities: The main area is made up of an open-sided canvas marquee that has been fitted with comfortable and stylish furniture: antique loungers, hammocks, large mirrors and small, stylish touches.
• Cuisine : you will enjoy early morning breakfast before the first game drive and a full brunch with fresh meals on return, as well as afternoon tea and cakes, bar snacks and drinks with the sunset, followed by a 3-course dinner under canvas.
• Eco-respect : this camp operates with minimum technology, and no electricity is avalaible, yet light is provided through lamps in the tents. A large tin jug and basin are provided in the bathrooms and canvas wash basins on each private verandah.
• Communications: The camp can communicate by radio or satellite phone in case of emergency.

• 63o US$ from July to October included (high season)
  165 US$ single supplement (high season only, from July to October included)
• closed from November to March included (low season and part of medium season), unless specially requested for a specific date.

Private safaris: For a private trip, guests must pay for 6 people.

Children under 16 years benefit a 50% discount when sharing with one or two full paying adults in a twin or triple during Family Months (January, March to June, November to December included). Out of Family Months , they pay full adult rate. For younger children please enquire directly. See our child policy or contact us.

All-inclusive policy: Our rates are per guest per night and include: accommodation based on 2 persons sharing, all meals, all beverages except premium imported spirits and champagne, two game viewing activities per day, laundry, transfer from nearest airstrip and internal transfers if needed.
