The Sightings Never Fail To Impress Our Guests

A Letter received this week from our Camp Manager at Khwai Tented Camp highlights the most recent sightings and feedback from camp

As one of the most consistent wildlife areas in Botswana, the sightings at Khwai Tented Camp never fail to impress our guests no matter what the season. Regular and almost daily sightings over the past month have include leopard, wild dog and lions, along with the more commonly sighted Elephants and plains game species. In addition, we currently have a pod of hippos which have taken up residence in the lagoon over which the camp looks, and every evening guests fall asleep to their low grunts and bellows. The Wild Dog Dens and the Hyena Dens have allowed up close encounters of the newest additions of young predators to the Khwai Community Area.

Temperatures are once again warming up and the wildlife activity during the early morning game drives is definitely on the increase. Our welcoming songs for our guests arrival continue to be a highlight mentioned in their feedback along with the idea that Khwai is “their home away from home”.

We have no doubts that the excellent wildlife sightings in our area will only continue to improve as the Dry Season kicks in and we look forward to updating you on sightings and guest feedback every week.
