Botswana Mobile Tented Safaris In Full Swing
I recently did a safari in Chobe for 3 nights and after a day's break in the Delta at Kanana camp, I took a family through to Nxai pan national park which proved to be amazing. For a long time people seem to think that the green season does not provide great game viewing, but yet this tail end of our rains, we had phenomenal wild life sightings.
We saw a pride of about 9 lions, with young cubs of about a year that put on a real play for us. We watched them for the best part of sunset playing near a mud pool. On our last day driving out of the park, we were spoilt with watching two six months old leopard cubs and their mother within six feet of our vehicle. It was rather a grand Bon Voyager from Chobe.
On arrival at the Nxai pans, we watched cheetah on the look out for springbuck. We saw cheetah everyday and saw at least 2 different prides of lions on more than one occasion. Besides the cats, we saw literally thousands of Zebras, gemsbok and springbuck.
