Somalisa Camp Opens
After an incredible few months of wind and rain in the heart of Hwange, Somalisa has finally opened its doors and is looking stunning. In the short space of time the camp has weathered so well that it looks like it has been there for ages.
There is a lot of surface water still about and the breeding herds of elephant have slowly come back from the South. The highlight was having the pride of four lions in camp calling the entire night of the camp's opening as though it were announcing the birth of a legend. This pride of four is part of the Somalisa pride which consists of a total of 22 cats.
