Linyanti Marsh Flooded
in the Okavango Delta
The Linyanti marsh that has not seen a flow of water for over twenty years broke that spell this year in January with amazing floods that brought in incredible bird life in the area.
As the water has started to subside and inland water holes dry up, the big herds of elephants have started to move back towards the marsh. We are expecting our large herds of buffalo to start moving through the area in the next month and following that the Zebra migration from Savuti and Mabhabe Depression to start coming through on their way to the Chobe River front.
Lots of exciting months ahead as we wait to see what the Okavango floods have in store for us and how they will affect the Linyanti River.
