Dear We welcome 2010 with much excitement. 2009 ended with a great increase in interest for Zimbabwe and we have seen the country starting to open up as the support has started to come in from partners and travelers in the industry in efforts to restore Zimbabwe's popularity as one of Africa's best safari destinations. It still boasts of fantastic wildlife, remote and wild places and as it has always been known for, great service and it still remains a very affordable destination. Time is running out, as a reminder of our New Year special opening rates, which expire at the end of January , book and confirm before the 31st January 2010 for these giveaway holidays.
Opening Special 2010 Rates: Valid for any bookings confirmed before the 31st January 2010 Opening Special of US$250 per person, per night, minimum 2 people. (Usual rate US$500 per person per night) The Camp is a 12 bedded tented camp with en-suite bathroom facilities and out-door shower and basins over-looking the water hole. Kanga is the old Africa in a new era. Seasons 1st April - 31st October and special exploratory trips during the rainy season on request. Read more... Set in the most remote part of the world Heritage site in Mana pools is Kanga Pan not too far Chitake Springs. This area has never been developed and gives you the experience of a pure and un-spoilt Africa. The area is very diverse and has not have multiple of open vlei lines, river systems of the Ruckomechi River, and mixed woodland types from mopane woodland to Jesse bushes and riverine forests. Kanga Pan is the only known source of water in the area that is available all year round and makes it a hub for wildlife in the area. The area can be best described as an explorer`s paradise especially for walking to untamed areas that are inaccessible by vehicle.

Nxai Pan and the Madgadigadi Pans is a relatively undiscovered part of Botswana that offers some of the best wildlife viewing in Botswana during the green season (November through to April). This part of Africa displays an incredible spectacle of the Zebra Migration that return to the desert at the onset of the rains. Thousands of Zebra can be seen following each other mixing with hundreds of Gemsbok antelope (Oryx) and springboks. It is at this time of the year the springbok calve attracting the resident cheetah and lion. Cheetah hunting and kills are not uncommon during a long stay periods of up to 4 days. 30 Dec 2009 Beks and Sophia, the wonderful Somalisa team, I am just so impressed (and spoilt ) by the time here at Somalisa. So elegant and beautiful, all perfectly designed for a fantastic experience of the great Africa outdoors. Love all the details and finishing touches.
