Eric Gauss is of French origin and fell in love with Africa close to 15 years ago. He worked in Paris as a Professional Photographer for almost 10 years before he and his wife decided to move to Zimbabwe where they currently live.
It was here where Eric started working as a picture editor and photographer for the well acclaimed international magazine; Travel Africa and this took him travelling extensively around remote parts of Africa.
He has had nominations for his wildlife photography for BBC Wildlife photographer of the year awards, in particular for a shot he did of the Wildebeest migration in the Masai Mara in Kenya.
During his workshop Eric brings a singular vision about wildlife photography, where his aim is to bring photographers closer to animals and capture them in their natural environment without impacting their natural behaviour, his favourite quote is that of a French photographer Robert Capa “If your pictures aren’t good enough, you aren’t close enough“
