The first quarter of 2011 has flown by with many exciting changes for African Bush Camps and several new developments: Linyanti Ebony, Somalisa Acacia and the addition of a Family tent at Kanga are some of those developments, meant to enhance family travel.
Linyanti Ebony in Chobe
The self-contained 8- bedded camp in the Chobe Enclave will be open by the 1st of May and is a fresh and much welcomed addition to Linyanti Bush Camp.
The camp can be booked exclusively with a minimum of 7 people – no age limit, no restrictions and no additional private vehicle costs.
The increased water level has meant that we are able to introduce boating and fishing within our private Linyanti concession. Mokoro activities will be on trial for this year until safe and enjoyable routes are pioneered and mapped out.
Somalisa Acacia in Hwange
Somalisa Acacia is located in the heart of Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. This camp will allow families traveling with young children to experience the wilderness with their own guide and services in the privacy of their own fully-appointed family tent.
Kanga Camp in Mana Pools
Kanga Camp in Zimbabwe’s amazing Mana Pools is getting a facelift. We are in the process of upgrading the guest tents in size as well as décor and all of the tents will be raised on wooden decking. The camp now boasts a honeymoon suite tucked away in a private oasis, a family tent, a new fire deck and a lounge area. All guests visiting Kanga for at least 3 nights will have the opportunity to sleep out under the stars on new platforms currently under construction.
6-Nights Special in Mana Pools
As of June, we are offering a 6-night discounted safari in Mana Pools combining the best of Kanga Camp with our new Zambezi Life Styles luxury mobile camp on the banks of the Zambezi River. This unique combination will afford our guests the complete Mana experience – inland as well as along the river.
