Day 1 - 3: 2 Nights in Khwai Tented Camp, Khwai Community Area

On arrival into Maun, you will be met and transferred by private charter to Khwai Tented Camp where you will spend your first two nights. Upon your arrival at Khwai airstrip you will game drive through the concession area to the camp

Khwai Tented Camp is located on a beautiful site within this community-run concession on the eastern border of the Moremi Game reserve. The exclusive location of the camp, on the banks of a lagoon flowing into the Khwai river, acts as a boundary between the reserve and the community area, offering visitors staying here several unique ways to experience Africa.

Besides the day-time drives which can feature Africa’s big attractions – lion, cheetah, leopard, wild dog, elephant, buffalo, hippo and giraffe – guests at Khwai Tented Camp are able to explore nature after sunset with a night drive. This activity, along with the guided walking safaris, is not usually permitted in the National Parks or Game reserves, and allows guests to get an up close and personal experience with some of Africa’s nocturnal and / or more elusive animals. The camp also provides the opportunity to explore the great stands of leadwood and mopane woodlands as well as open grasslands and banks of the Khwai river on foot.

You will enjoy spacious meru style tents elegantly set-up on wooden decking overlooking the tranquil waters of the lagoon. Accommodation includes en-suite bathroom facilities with flush toilets and al-fresco bucket showers. Enjoy your afternoons and evenings in the main dining and lounger area, where the furniture provides an aura of both colonial and traditional era’s. Simple yet elegant, Khwai Tented Camp provides guests with an authentic and exclusive safari experience.

Day 3 – 5: 2 Nights in Linyanti Bush Camp, Chobe Enclave

After an early morning activity at Khwai tented Camp you will game drive through to the airstrip where you will connect with your charter flight to Saile airstrip. Upon your arrival at Saile airstrip you will game drive through the Chobe Enclave to Linyanti Bush Camp for the next three nights of your safari adventure.

Linyanti Bush Camp is an intimate 12-bed luxury tented camp on the banks of the Linyanti Marsh, within a Private Concession bordering the western boundary of Chobe in the Chobe Enclave. You will enjoy some of the most spacious and comfortable tented accommodation and beds available today. The bathrooms are private and en-suite, consisting of fixed showers which are housed under the tent and gas-heated, as well as a flush toilet for your convenience.

The camp is limited to small exclusive groups who seek a personalized experience in a private concession away from the main tourist’s routes. Activities from the camp consist of game drives, walking, night drives, mokoro safaris, boat cruises, and fishing.

Linyanti is best known for its large populations of Elephant and buffalo that congregate in vast numbers especially during the dry season. Other wildlife encounters include Lion, sable, roan, leopard, wild dog, the rare and elusive sitatunga antelope, red lechwe, hippo and crocodile, as well as other species of plains game. The area also offers spectacular birding all year round. The area's relative remoteness makes it a favored wild safari destination and one of the best sought after areas in Northern Botswana.

Day 5 – 7: 2 Night in Victoria Falls Hotel, Victoria Falls

After a delightful activity at Linyanti Bush Camp, you will game drive through to the Saile airstrip for your charter flight to Kasane airport, from where you will road transfer to Victoria Falls, where you will spend one night at the exquisite Victoria Falls Hotel on Bed and Breakfast basis.

The famous Victoria Falls are just a ten-minute walk away using the hotel’s private pathway, and “the smoke that thunders” or “Mosi-O-Tunya” in the local dialect, is clearly audible and visible from this luxurious landmark. World-class service, and food and beverage choice and preparation second to none, make the hotel a magnet for international visitors and locals alike.

The Terrace has been a rendezvous for adventurers in Africa for over a century. The ambience of the hotel is steeped in that history with all suites decorated in the gracious Edwardian style of Zimbabwe’s colonial era.

Waking up to the sound of “the smoke that thunders”, seeing the sun rise beneath the mist of one of the seven natural wonders of the world and the lunar rainbow at night, all the while soaking up the history and ambience of a bygone era, is more than unforgettable – it is unique.

Day 7 – 9: 2 Nights in Somalisa Acacia Camp, Hwange National Park

After breakfast you will be transferred to Victoria Falls Airport from where you’ll jump aboard a charter flight to Hwange for 3 nights at our award winning Somalisa Acacia Camp.

Somalisa Acacia is set in the heart of Hwange National Park, known as the land of the giants for its big elephant herds. Somalisa Acacia is an authentic bush camp, a blend of old African charm and elegance together with an exclusive safari experience. Its stunning location tucked away on an acacia island along the edge of an ancient seasonal flood plain gives it breath taking views of the savannah plains of the famous Kennedy Vlei line. At Somalisa Acacia, you will experience the heightened romance of the African Bush in one of the most natural environments in Africa. This is the way Africa was meant to be explored. Only six elegantly furnished canvas tents with en suite bathrooms, flush toilet and romantic alfresco bush shower make up this camp. The décor echoes of an old era, from colonial to the ancient tribes of Africa, telling the story from all corners of this magnificent continent. It’s stunning main area and pool lends to complete relaxation, whether it be with a cup of tea or one of our refreshing cocktails; overlooking the pan where the herds of game congregate in large herds, offering rare moments of outstanding nature. Your senses will be awakened and you will feast on our sumptuous cuisine, a balance of organic produce and innovative gourmet meals complemented by a choice of South African and Australian wines. Our meals are inspired by the Far East, Europe and Africa. You will discover new and seasonal flavours, which our imaginative chef will present you with.

Activities include guided walks lead by qualified and passionate guides who will share their knowledge and love of the bush with you, game drives and spot lighting as well as game viewing from hides. Walking and game drives will allow you the opportunity to observe elephant, kudu and sable antelope, zebra, wildebeest, gemsbok, the rare and endangered roan antelope, buffalo, giraffe, white rhino, lion, leopard, hyena, and many other wildlife species. The Kennedy vlei is littered with flamboyant colors from all its seasonal wild flowers that emerge as the first rains begin, and as the grass dries out, the large herds of buffalo, zebra and elephant are in abundance.

Day 9 – 11: 2 Nights in Zambezi Expeditions, Mana Pools

After your last breakfast at Somalisa camp you will go on a game drive to our air strip where you will meet your charter flight to Mana Pools. This flight will take approx 1 hour & 50mins. On arrival you will be met and taken to your tented camp on the Zambezi River. This is where you will begin your three nights on the Zambezi River in Zambezi Expeditions.

Come on the adventure of a lifetime for an experience like no other. The camp is set up prior to your arrival and you will conduct activities setting out from the camp each day. A comfortable camp on the banks of the Zambezi River will allow you the adventure activities of canoeing, walking and game drives. Each tent is a spacious mini meru-style tent with en-suite bathroom, flush toilet and outdoor bucket shower.

Canoeing is an optional activity which is based on your abilities and will probably see you doing about 2 - 3 hours of light paddling. The whole trip will be along the shoreline in Zimbabwe’s Mana Pools National Park, where you’ll enjoy viewing of wildlife from a totally different perspective.

Day 11 – 13: 2 Nights in Kanga Camp, Mana Pools

After your last morning activity at Zambezi Expeditions you will go on a game drive in the National Park to Kanga Camp. Here you will stay for the last two nights of your safari in Mana Pools, exploring the inland river beds, pans and open plains of the National Park by game drive and guided walks with you armed professional guide.

Kanga Camp has six tents set in the heart of Mana Pools National Park. The main area of the camp is on decking overlooking the pan. A relaxing lounge area under the shade of large trees overlooks the pan. There is the choice of taking game drives in open-topped four-wheel drive vehicles or walking with professional guides. The opportunity to leave one’s vehicle and track game on foot is an experience rare in the national parks of Africa and in Mana Pools in particular this provides the visitor with the chance to track game in safety with an experienced professional guide. Other activities include canoeing which is organised on request in advance.

Game abounds on the flood plains and in the Mopane woodlands of Mana Pools. Kanga Pan particularly attracts great game in big concentrations as it is the only water found in the floodplain above the river. The predators, including lion, wild dog and leopard are often sighted and large concentrations of buffalo can be found in the Mopane woodland and open plains studded with Ilala Palms. Kudu, zebra, impala and waterbuck can be seen on the surrounding plains. Elephant take advantage of the plentiful "albida" trees in the area. Bird watching is also a great attraction of the area.
