Somalisa Camp – Safari Of A Lifetime

A Visit to Somalisa Camp, in Hwange National Park, was a journey of a lifetime for one of our guests who spent some time just before Christmas at the camp with her family and had much to say about the camp including a detailed photographic collage.

… Our whole family recently stayed at Somalisa, just before Christmas, last year. This was the first time for us to visit your camp and my two children, husband and I had an unbelievable experience there. Both of my kids have put it on the top of their list as a place that they would like to re visit in the future.

We had the most wonderful guides, Alfie & his team were awesome, and although it was in the height of the rainy season, we had very good game viewing.

Most exceptional though, was the treatment that I received from your kitchen staff. I suffer from a gluten allergy and am quite used to going without as I know how difficult it is to get supplies, especially when you are in the middle of the bush. This was something that did not happen in your camp and I cannot tell you how impressed I was with your staff and the creations they came up for me. Each meal or snack was something I looked forward to – I have travelled to many places in the world but would struggle to find somewhere that would match the food that was presented to me, from a tent with no electricity in the heart of Africa. Your staff have obviously been well trained.
