Update on H2O Hwange Campaign

Following the Launch of our H2O Hwange Campaign, and having received an outstanding response from our friends and supporters for the critical water situation in Hwange National Park, African Bush Camps in collaboration with African Bush Camps Foundation is delighted to announce that we have added an additional proposed pan to the list of waterholes which we propose to pump, either through the use of solar boreholes or diesel generator pumps.

The above map highlights the pans and sites that have been selected as part of the H2O Hwange campaign.
They are listed in order of priority:

1. Ray’s Pan

2. Umkawazaan

3. Un-named Pan (still under discussion)

Chris’s Pan and Somalisa Pan, as well as the Pan in front of Somalisa Camp are already set up and pumping with finances put forward by African Bush Camps. There is an additional Pan off our concession called Manga 3 which African Bush Camps are now pumping as well. So in total we are looking to be running 6 to 7 pans at this stage.
